Mind you, it’s not that I’ll just stretch the story out on few more pages.
It’s the opposite.
I won’t have to cut the story as much.
You see, my process is: coming up with ideas, turning them into series of images, dialogue and page layouts, interweaving them all without any page limit or constraint and then seeing what number of pages I land on. Usually that number is too high and I have to tidy up the story, make it more snappy, lean, condensed and shortened. The more pages the book will have, the less of that trimming takes place.
Remember, I will be finalising complete storyboard this August nnd from what I’m seeing, I’m already beyond 46 pages of story.
