Summer

It’s summer time. It’s so hot out there that grilled chicken legs are falling right from the sky. With that said – one question remains – what does that mean machine’s janitor do with the grill here? The answer seems obvious…
p.s. – finally after four years my “Four Seasons” game tetralogy is finished and I can feel fulfilled. :D

reloaded: Spring

play

It’s springtime in squirrel land. Time of joy, renewed hope for a good year and fierce beetle eating. Plants are growing everywhere, sun is shining, snow came down from the mountains… But what’s up with that winter’s mean machine janitor and his fireballs? Wait, what?…

reloaded: Winter

play

If you happen to not score good points in Autumn, here’s your chance to make some more rations for winter chill, as we approach the mean machine and it’s frozen acorns. Catch’em all, but watch out for the machine’s janitor, he’ll try to scare you away with snowball, but we all know that won’t do any damage. Or will it?…

reloaded: Autumn

play

It’s autumn in squirrel land and it’s highest time to make some rations for that upcoming winter. Collect as many acorns as you can and don’t forget to catch them clocks for extra time. Once again – fully reloaded game, only acorns and original hero survived the time test. :D

reloaded: Tribal Jump

play

tribal jump didn’t really need reloading, exept for better graphics and a new API. The gameplay is exactly the same, so if you happen to have played this game before – you can just feast your eyes on new graphics, or you can do that via picture above. Hmm… Anyway – just go and play and make it to the leaderboard :D

Last Egg Standing (aka reloaded: egz)

play

Well this had to happen. When you’re reloading games there’s always a danger of coming across a game that you need to redo entirely from scratch to make it worth playing and showing to the needy audience. Let’s start at the beginning. Long time ago, in year 2004 or even earlier I created a small game called EGZ . Nothing fancy, just a remake of old egg picking from Nintendo. Back then this game seemed to be cutting edge, but now… List of things to improve was long. Terrible sound in between levels. Shitty font used for top display. Random egg showing – which resulted in inability to collect them all. Lousy backgrounds… The list goes on. But the worst part was when I opened the fla file and looked at the script. OMG, what was I thinking. Those hard early years of action script learning. :D So I remade the whole thing. Not a single sprite survived, not a line of code. Now you can compare how my way of thinking about game development changed in those few years. ;)

Enjoy.

10 Gnomes 6: the Hall

play | watch video from location

As promised, we’re still in the shipyard, inside a giant assembly hall, now deserted because of the fall of the shipyard. As I was getting there I saw that another hall, just like this one was already destroyed, all that was left of it was a giant pile of rubble, so it is possible that these gnomes have historical value, as this hall can be scheduled for destruction as well. Anyway – this time I’m SURE I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures in there ;). This one is the biggest installment of the gnomes yet – somehow I feel it won’t be as hard to finish as previous ones, but it’s for you to decide.

By the way – take a good look at this video – you can find 4 gnomes in it :D

Warfare Transporter

play

If you ever wondered how would a combination of real life watercolours and a nice flash gameplay look like – well, here’s your answer. This game is indeed point and click, since you ‘point’ to navigate this ship and ‘click’ to make it shoot the cannon or release underwater bombs. How to tell the ship what it should shoot? Just play the game. ;)

10 Gnomes 5: the shipyard

play

Illegal adventures continue. This shipyard was getting permanent inspiration mention since Submachine 1. No wonder that I wanted to show you part of it in pictures, gnome game seemed to be the best way to do it. You can see only a small part of it, as the whole shipyard is vast, actually workers over there have their own bicycles to get from one location to another, so there. I think I could easily built all 12 gnomes games based on the shipyard alone, but that would be boring probably. Instead I made pics only on two locations, outdoor (this game) and indoor (next month). Besides that I can’t really tell if I was fully allowed to take pictures anywhere over there. Fortunately there are some artists colonies as well in this shipyard and that’s how I got in in the first place. Otherwise they would just stop me at the gate and tell me to get lost. :D But being inside doesn’t mean “yeah, you can take pictures, here’s a free soda, enjoy”, so there was a little thrill in the package as well. Anyway – gnomes are hidden, clock is set to 10 minutes, enjoy. :D

p.s. – weather report – total sunshine this time. No fog nor rain. ;)
